This journal is the first social work academic journal in China sponsored by a national academic group. Since its inception, it has consistently adhered to the correct political direction, based in China with a global outlook. With the aim of "developing academic research in social work in China, summarizing practical experiences in Chine's social work, and promoting social work education in China," the journal focuses on the institutional construction of social work in China, local practices of social work, international theories and models of social work research, and the educational system for social work in China. It serves party and government policies, society, and education. The journal places special emphasis on practical research of social work development in China, analytical discussion on theory, and suggestions for further development.
