Ⅰ. Scope of Submissions:
The journal includes sections such as expert reviews, expert forums, articles, short articles, case reports, expert lectures, reviews, clinical guidelines, and expert consensus. Online submissions are welcome at the website: http://www.obgyncn.com.
Ⅱ. Submission Requirements:
1. Manuscripts should be scientific, practical, and logical, with accurate, smooth, and concise writing. Articles should generally not exceed 5000 words; short articles should not exceed 3000 words, and figures and tables should be simplified.
2. Titles should reflect the content appropriately, concisely, and prominently. Chinese titles should generally not exceed 20 Chinese characters, and English titles should convey the same meaning as the Chinese titles.
3. Authors should meet the following conditions: (1) involved in topic selection, design, data analysis, and interpretation; (2) drafted or revised key theoretical or other major content in the paper; (3) agreed to the publication of the paper. The order of authors should be determined at the time of submission and should not be changed during the editing process. Author affiliations should be listed at the bottom left, with the full name, city, and postal code provided.
4. Abstract:
(1) All abstracts accompanying research articles should adopt a structured format, including four parts: purpose, methods, results, and conclusions. The Chinese abstract should be within 200 words, and the English abstract should correspond to the Chinese abstract. For short articles, only a Chinese abstract is required, following the same format as the full article. The writing requirements for each section are as follows:
① Purpose: Briefly state the research objectives, reasons for posing the problem, indicate the scope and importance of the study.
② Methods: Provide a brief description of the basic design of the research topic, materials and methods used, how groups were controlled, the scope and precision of the study, how data was obtained, and the statistical methods used.
③ Results: Summarize the main results and data of the study, highlight any new findings, explain their value and limitations, present specific and accurate descriptions, and provide confidence intervals and exact values of statistical significance tests.
④ Conclusions: Briefly outline the correct viewpoints and theoretical or practical value obtained through experience and argumentation, whether they can be recommended or generalized, etc.
(2) For reviews, please provide a brief Chinese abstract. The abstract of a review article should be simple and concise, presenting a brief statement of the review content independently and comprehensively, allowing readers to obtain necessary information without reading the full text.
5. Keywords
Articles and short articles should list 3-5 keywords. The indexed keywords should focus on the main content of the article. Please try to use terms listed in the latest edition of "Medical Subject Headings (MeSH)" edited by the National Library of Medicine. If necessary, keywords not included in MeSH can also be used.
6. Medical Terminology
Medical terms should adhere to the "Medical Terminology" published by the National Natural Science Terminology Review Committee (published by Science Press). Terms without commonly used translations should be annotated or explained when first mentioned in the text. Drug names (including Chinese medicine) should follow the "Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China" (No. 78, 2020), and Chinese drug names should use chemical names instead of brand names.
7. Units of Measurement
Adhere to the State Council's "Legal Measurement Units of the People's Republic of China," correctly using and writing the names and symbols of quantities and units in the manuscript. Quantity symbols should be in italic Latin or Greek letters (except pH in regular font). In figures and tables in the manuscript, standardized forms like "quantity/unit" should be used to represent quantities and units, e.g., "t/h" (time unit "hour"), "p/kPa" (pressure unit "kPa"). The unit following each numerical value with a length unit should not be omitted, e.g., 40mm x 20mm x 30mm should not be written as 40x20x30mm or 40x20x30mm3.
8. Numbers
Arabic numerals should be used where appropriate, such as for centuries, decades, years, months, days, times, counts, and measurements. Representations of numerical ranges should use the format 5-10 for 5 to 10; 5,000-10,000 for 5,000 to 10,000; 60%-70% for 60% to 70%, and not written as 60-70%. Mean and standard deviation represented as percentages should be written as (50.2+0.6)%, not as 50.2 + 0.6% or 50.2%+ 0.6%. Fractions should use a slash instead of a colon, except in mathematical formulas.
9. Figures and Tables
Figures and tables should be sequentially numbered according to their appearance in the text, with each figure or table labeled in the text. Each figure or table should have a clear and self-explanatory title. The journal uses three-line tables without vertical lines. Illustrations should be professionally drawn or photographed; letters, numbers, and symbols in the figures should be clear and distinguishable even after reduction. Each figure should have a label on the back indicating the figure number, author's name, and the top and bottom orientation of the figure. Images should not be folded. Microphotographs should indicate the magnification factor and staining method. Symbols, arrows, or letters in photos should contrast sharply with the background. If using portraits, written consent from the individual should be obtained, or the part identifying the person should be obscured. Proper attribution should be provided for figures and tables sourced from other publications. Whenever possible, textual descriptions should be used instead of figures and tables.
10. Statistical Symbols
Statistical symbols should be written according to the relevant provisions of "Nomenclature and Symbols in Statistics" (2009 edition) [GB/T 3358.1-2009, GB/T 3358.2-2009, GB/T 3358.3-2009].
11. Acknowledgments
Acknowledgments for collaborators, mentors, and sponsors involved in the work can be expressed briefly in text, with the consent of the individuals being acknowledged. Acknowledgments should be placed in parentheses after the main text and before the references.
12. References
References should be formatted according to GB 7714-2015 "Rules for Bibliographic References," using Arabic numerals in square brackets in the order of appearance in the text. References cited in tables or figure captions should also be numbered based on the order of their first appearance in the text. Avoid using abstracts as references whenever possible. Unpublished observational data and personal communications are generally not included in the references. Secondary sources should not be cited; instead, cite the original source. List all authors for references, with 1-3 authors listed in full and more than 3 authors listed as the first 3 followed by ", et al." Abbreviations for foreign journal names should follow the list provided by the National Library of Medicine's "Index Medicus." References must be accurately cross-checked with the original sources. Arrange references in numerical order of citation at the end of the text.
Ⅲ. Submission Guidelines
1. For manuscripts involving funded projects or award-winning works: Projects funded by national, provincial, or ministerial-level funds or key projects should be footnoted at the bottom left of the article's first page, e.g., "Funded by xx Fund Project (Grant No. xxxx)," along with a copy of the fund certificate. Papers related to national scientific fund projects, provincial or ministerial-level key projects, or those receiving science and technology achievement awards or invention awards should be indicated, accompanied by relevant approval certificates from the approving authority or department (copy). Authors who receive awards after publication should promptly inform the editorial office and provide a copy of the award certificate.
2. Submissions must include a recommendation letter from the author's institution: The letter should state the evaluation comments on the manuscript, confirm no dual submissions, no confidentiality issues, and no disputes over authorship. Additionally, the first author's resume should be attached, including: name, gender, birthplace, date of birth, and title (5 items).
3. Manuscripts preliminarily selected for publication after initial review should be revised according to feedback. Submit the revised manuscript in Word format through the online submission system or via email (Email address: zgog@163.net), indicating contact phone number, fax number, and alternate email.
4. To maintain the journal's reputation and readers' interests, avoid submitting the same manuscript to multiple publications. Any instance of dual submission will result in immediate rejection. If duplicate submission is discovered, the journal will publish a statement declaring the article as a duplicate, and any submissions with the same first author will be rejected for two years.
5. Significant research findings will be expedited for publication through a "Fast Track" process. Authors requesting Fast Track publication must provide a written explanation of the paper's innovation and a plagiarism report. Additionally, a Fast Track review fee of 200 RMB per paper is required. Upon approval, papers are typically published within 3-4 months of submission.
6. According to the "Copyright Law" and considering the specific circumstances of this journal, manuscripts that have not received a notification of manuscript processing within 3 months after receiving a receipt from the journal are still under review. If authors wish to submit to another journal, please contact this journal first. Authors should keep a copy of the manuscript. For manuscripts not selected for publication, unless under special circumstances, the journal will not return the manuscript.
7. Authors are solely responsible for the content of their submissions. In accordance with the "Copyright Law," the journal may make textual modifications or deletions to submissions. Any modifications that affect the original intent will be brought to the author's attention. Manuscripts not revised within 3 months will be automatically withdrawn.
8. Submissions are subject to a processing fee of 50 RMB per article. After confirmation of publication, authors are required to pay the layout fee as notified. Additional fees may apply for color illustrations. These fees can be covered by the author's institution from research funds or other sources. Authors facing financial difficulties may apply for fee waivers. Authors will receive remuneration upon publication (including royalties for CD and online versions) and will be given one complimentary copy of the current issue.
9. Upon acceptance for publication, authors must sign a copyright transfer agreement, granting exclusive rights to the Chinese Journal Of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology. The journal has the right to publish the accepted articles in electronic journals, CD-ROMs, and other formats. Without permission from the journal, no part of the article may be reproduced elsewhere.
