Linguistic Research is edited by the Institute of Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics at the School of Foreign Languages, Peking University, and published by Higher Education Press. Established in 2002, Linguistic Research was initially published annually but transitioned to biannual publication starting in 2011. It has been consecutively indexed in the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI) source journal list for the years 2014-2015, 2017-2018, and 2021-2022.
Linguistic Research aims to provide a platform for language researchers to publish insights, discuss various academic issues, review existing linguistic research, propose ideas for disciplinary development, describe a text/discourse fragment guided by theory, and conduct empirical research. Contributors are encouraged to engage in academic debates, present new viewpoints, and propose new theoretical models to further advance the field of linguistics.
The current sections of Linguistic Research include theoretical linguistic research, specific language studies, language comparison research, language application research, book reviews, and more. Language researchers are encouraged to submit their work actively. The review period for Linguistic Research is three months. Submissions can be made through the following website: http://yuya.cbpt.cnki.net/ or emailed to the editorial office at ling_research@126.com.
Authors are responsible for the content of their submissions, but the editorial office reserves the right to make necessary textual modifications and deletions to the proposed manuscripts. Linguistic Research does not accept multiple submissions of the same manuscript. If multiple submissions are detected, the editorial office will cease accepting submissions from the individual and notify relevant journals.
